Meta Unveils New Version of AI Assistant
Meta Platforms Inc. (formerly Facebook) announced a major upgrade to its AI assistant, Meta AI, today. The new version boasts a state-of-the-art AI model called Llama 3, which Meta claims makes it the “most intelligent AI assistant that you can freely use.”
Meta AI can now be accessed across various Meta apps and platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, through the integrated search bars. Additionally, a dedicated website, meta.ai, has been launched for web users.
Beyond improved accessibility, Meta AI offers new creative features. Users can now animate photos and receive high-quality, real-time image generation based on their text prompts. The AI can even generate a video playback of the creation process.
This update highlights Meta’s ambition to be a leader in the field of artificial intelligence. By open-sourcing the Llama 3 model and offering these innovative features, Meta is aiming to make Meta AI the go-to assistant for a wide range of users.
